Spring will arrive when spring is ready.

Processors and re-sellers of food have helped us forget that every day delayed for the arrival of Spring is part of the process. This is why farmers watch and wait for the right moment to plant seeds and to cultivate.  They look at years past to help guide them for the season they are in; but never take anything for granted. We should not either.

Storing, canning and preserving locally grown food from Autumn helps us get through the Winter and early Spring until we can start fresh again. Spring is on it’s way when Spring is ready.
